Reiki originated in Japan in the late 1800s. It is a natural technique used to transmit universal energy to encourage your well-being on all levels. It is a non-invasive therapy, and it is practised as a complementary therapy in hospitals and wellness centres.
Your emotional or physical healing is channelled through my hands (practitioner) to your body and your energy fields. You have seven main points of energy in your body (chakras) and it is especially important to keep them in balance.

Reiki could be seen as having a comforting bath after an exhausting day at work. The water in the bath is the universal healing energy that cleanses the bad memories of your day. I am the instrument you will use to channel the cleansing energy of the water. It is fundamental that your practitioner is a channel with the knowledge and abilities to correctly direct the healing energy.
Energy exists everywhere and surrounds us all the time. You are energy. You generate energy and you receive energy too. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but only converted from one form into another.
